Announcement Regarding Withdrawal of Shelf Registration for Stock Options
TOKYO, Japan –June 22, 2006– ORIX Corporation (TSE: 8591; NYSE: IX), a leading integrated financial services group, today announced that it has decided to withdraw the shelf registration for stock options (stock acquisition rights) in the form of common shares.

2. Reason for Withdrawal
It has been decided that the shelf registration (Shelf Registration No. 17-Kanto 85) that was submitted on July 4, 2005 and that is effective until July 11, 2006 will be withdrawn, as there are no plans to issue stock acquisition rights for the remaining balance of 5,166,830,000 yen.
