On March 10, 2005, Stage Stores, Inc. (the "Company") issued a news release announcing preliminary fiscal 2004 fourth quarter and full year earnings results, and providing fiscal 2005 first quarter and full year earnings guidance. A copy of the news release is attached to this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
