Section 8 – Other Events

Item 8.01 Other Events.

On April 14, 2008, Chesapeake Energy Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the date that it will issue its 2008 first quarter financial and operational results.  The press release also provided information for accessing the related conference call.  A copy of this press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

On April 16, 2008, the Company along with OGE Energy Corp. issued a press release announcing that Enogex, a subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp., will provide natural gas gathering, processing and transportation services for the Company in the Colony Granite Wash play in Custer and Washita counties in the Anadarko Basin of western Oklahoma.  A copy of this press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2.
