     Genesco Inc. announces plans for members of its management to make a presentation on the Company at the Bear Stearns 11th Annual Retail, Restaurant and Apparel Conference at 9:45 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, March 8, 2005. Members of management will also make a presentation on the Company at the Banc of America Securities 2005 Consumer Conference at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, March 16, 2005. A live audio feed of both presentations will be accessible on the Internet through the Company’s website at www.genesco.com.
