Subsea 7 made an unsolicited bid to acquire McDermott International Inc. (NYSE: MDR) which may force the the cancellation of McDermott's deal to buy Chicago Bridge & Iron Co. (NYSE: CBI). Shares of McDermott gained 95 cents to close at $7.00 while Chicago Bridge & Iron stock tumbled $1.21 to close at $13.38.
