Section 5 — Corporate Governance and Management

 

Item 5.02 - Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

Effective January 30, 2008, Chase Corporation has promoted Adam P. Chase to the position of President.  Mr. Chase, age 36, has been with the Company since 1998 and some of his previous assignments include Corporate Controller, General Manager and most recently, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.  In his new position, Mr. Chase will have responsibility for all operational areas of Chase Corporation, including manufacturing, engineering, R&D, sales, marketing, procurement and inventory management.  He will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Chase is the son of Peter R. Chase, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and the nephew of Mary Claire Chase, a director of the Company.
