On July 12, 2006, Kerr-McGee Corporation issued a press release announcing that it will hold a special meeting of its stockholders on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at 2 p.m. (CDT) to vote on the proposed merger with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. Stockholders who hold shares of Kerr-McGee Corporation common stock at the close of business on July 6, 2006, the record date of the special meeting, will be entitled to vote on the proposed merger.
