Thomson confirms the swap of its TTE Corporation shares into TCL Multimedia shares

Paris, 11th August 2005 - Thomson (Euronext Paris: 18453, NYSE :TMS) confirms it received
1,144,182,095 shares of TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Ltd (HKSE: 1070), pursuant to the agreements in connection with the formation of TTE.
