METHANEX TO PRESENT AT CIBC WORLD MARKETS INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR CONFERENCE

Methanex Corporation will be presenting at the upcoming CIBC World Markets Institutional Investor Conference being held February 18-21, 2009 in Whistler, British Columbia. Mr. Bruce Aitken, Methanex’s President and Chief Executive Officer, will speak to investors on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at approximately 11:10 a.m. PT (2:10 p.m. ET).

Interested participants can access a live audio webcast of the presentation through the Company’s website at www.methanex.com/investor/events.html. The length of the webcast will be approximately 30 minutes. An audio recording of the presentation will also be available for download for three weeks following the date of the conference.
