PR Log - Dec 02, 2011 - Green Valley Country Club (GVCC), in Fairfield, CA is hosting their fifth Dinner Dance and Child Haven Auction Event tonight, December 2nd. This private event raises money for the nonprofit, reaching out to club members and their guests for the cause. It begins at 5PM with cocktails and the silent auction, before moving onto the dinner, live auction and dancing at 7:00.
“GVCC has been privileges to host this event for Child Haven five years in a row, and we are tremendously proud to be able to support their mission.” said Tammy Gallentine, Head of Marketing and Reservations. The list of items for auction is extensive. Included are seven nights in Maui, five in New Mexico, rare wines, and tennis and golf packages. One particular item that stands out is a Wellness Tool Kit donated by a local vitamin company Napa Nutritionals.
In keeping with their focus on health and collaboration, Napa Nutritionals has managed to include two personalized nutritional consultations with Doug Kalman PhD. Dr. Kalman’s many accomplishments include working with Olympic Athletes from Japan and Italy to Utah, and the London 2012 games. Says Napa Nutritionals founder Gretchen Reece, “We are proud to participate in such a worthy cause and are excited that Doug Kalman is among our Tool Kit's major gifts!”
Also included are the company’s own award winning Garli-eze and Fast C supplements,(Fast C was recently compared alongside Ester C in a recent press release put out by Nutra Ingredients-USA Nutra Ingredients-USA) and four personal training sessions with local certified fitness expert, Sue Jameson. "We feel positive that the Tool Kit will do well for Child Haven. That's what this event is all about!" said Reece.
All proceeds go to Child Haven in Fairfield California which was founded in 1983 to help children who have been severely traumatized through various types of abuse, neglect, or accident. It serves all children of Solano County and is a nonprofit organization and sees between 450 and 500 children per year. It works closely with the Family Court of Solano County as well as Child Protective Services of Solano County.
“Last year the members of Green Valley Country Club and their guests, donated over $41,000 at the event.” recalls Art Geis, President of the nonprofit, “Again this year we have a sell-out and look forward to a very successful event. Child Haven deeply appreciates the support that GVCC gives us.”
