Fruit of the Loom, another major player from North America in the leisurewear market, has been directly competing with Hanes for market share for a number of years and the continued competition between them has seen prices for their premium products being reduced in recent months, despite volatility in the supply chain of cotton.
Hane's 'Beefy-T' was launched in 1975 and became a popular classic, contributing to the company's success. Now the shirt that is hugely popular with T-shirt connoiseurs is available in 10 colours and from size small to 6XL.
Fruit of the Loom T-shirts, including their Super Premium range, have also undergone some new changes.
