PR Log - Apr 16, 2012 - Finally realizing that most people won’t invest in a web series without seeing some of the goods, the so-called geniuses at Skinny Bones Productions have dropped everything and posted the short, “BLAMBLAMBLAM: ClickClickClick: The Prologue”, on Kickstarter. Then, after realizing that one of the Kickstarter rewards was a copy of the short on DVD before its Internet debut, they quickly pointed a finger at an innocent man, claiming he was involved in the so-called “leak” (watch video of the accused here: http://kck.st/IEqi2I).
When asked why they chose Kickstarter as the venue in which to premiere the short, Jaz Garewal, writer/director of BLAMBLAMBLAM, ClickClickClick: The Prologue, The Series and The Breakfast Cereal, shrugged, “I started to put it on YouTube, but then noticed I had new mail in my Gmail account. I guess I never got back to it.”
In an effort to distract from the whole affair, Skinny Bones Productions also announced two new pledge levels. The first is a temporary tattoo or, as Skinny Bones Productions co-founder Chris Wolf puts it, “A tramp stamp that lasts just a bit longer than the guilt-hangover from the night before.” The temporary tramp stamp will ride shotgun with the tainted, aforementioned DVD of “BLAMBLAMBLAM, ClickClickClick: The Prologue”, going out to everyone who donates $10 or more.
The next pledge level is for that enterprising entrepreneur who has a product they want defiled on camera. “I believe the industry term is ‘product placement’,” said Mr. Wolf, after spending nearly a half-hour searching Google for the phrase.
The “BLAMBLAMBLAM, ClickClickClick: The Series” Kickstarter campaign is nearing the 15-day mark, which means potential donors have a limited window to jump on this roller coaster ride from hell.
