Author of Adversity Builds Character: An Inspirational True Life Story of Disability, Addiction, and Acceptance, is now available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Audible and iUniverse.

If anyone had a good excuse to succumb to despair, it is Tom Ufert. Tom lives with three life altering disabilities, yet still finds time to offer inspiration and hope to millions of people. From a car accident in 1992 that left him paralyzed to his mother’s murder, experience with a predatory pedophile, alcoholism, sexual addiction and diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and HIV what rings out is not how awful his life has been, but how full it has been despite these horrific life events. His wish is to share this spirit, and the message that has helped him make it through “Adversity Builds Character” to whoever needs the support and wise words of someone who truly understands adversity at the core levels.

“This was the first time that people disappeared from my world in the face of adversity. One minute they were family and then they were gone. I would learn over the years to realize that people come and go through our lives with relative ease. Only through concerted efforts by both parties do people become true friends. True friendship requires no excuses or promises just love and care,” says Tom.

Tom Ufert’s new blog, “Where is John Doe?” is a continuation of the hope and inspiration that this author is sharing with the world. More about Tom Ufert and his book can be found at his website, Author Tom Ufert or at TomUfert.com.
