The Law Offices of Andrew C. Laufer. PLLC Announced A Settlement in a Police Brutality Case Against the NYPD.
PRLog - Oct. 16, 2013 - The Case of S.H v. NYPD was a shocking assault against the clients by the NYPD. The police actually maced the entire family, which included small children. "This case is very shocking in terms of what happened to my client who was legally blind," Mr. Laufer said.
The NYPD charged the client with Obstructing Governmental Justice and other charges. All criminal charges were eventually dismissed by a judge in Brooklyn Criminal Court. Police abuse by the NYPD is on the rise. Recentrly a federal judge held that the policy known as "stop and frisk" was unconstitutional and did not meet federal law. The NYPD pays out millions of dollars a year because of the actions of officers that violate the rights of citizens that they are sworn to protect.
