With recent headlines stirring debate of chemical usage, the state of Minnesota became the first by passing laws to ban the controversial chemical Tryclosan. Tryclosan, a chemical found in soaps and hand sanitizers has been linked with developmental defects and liver toxicity- and is but one of hundreds of commonly used chemicals found in popular, commonly used household products that contain potentially harmful chemical toxins. The culmination of daily exposure to chemicals like Tryclosan and others like it may be negatively impacting the health of Americans.
