Riverside Arts Market to Partner with Community First Credit Union Promote Shopping Local this Holiday Season

By: PRLog
The Riverside Arts Market (RAM) and Community First Credit Union invite North Florida residents to support their local economy by making a commitment to “shop small” this holiday season.
PRLog - Nov. 7, 2014 - JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- On the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, November 29, RAM will host Small Business Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. under the canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge. With more than 150 artists, craftsmen and food artists in the market each week, RAM is the perfect place for holiday shoppers to find a variety of items offered by locally owned and operated small businesses in a single venue.

The annual Small Business Saturday event helps support and encourage local shopping for the holidays and gift giving and offers an alternative to mass retail.

“RAM prides itself in serving as an affordable storefront venue for our artists and artisans, all of whom are small business owners,” said RAM’s Director Krysten Bennett. “We look forward to seeing the North Florida community come out and support these local businesses during the holiday shopping season.”

In addition to the multitude of one-of-a-kind gift ideas offered by RAM vendors, shoppers may purchase RAM gift tokens. These tokens may be used as currency with any vendor in the market and make great stocking stuffers or gifts for those hard-to-shop-for friends and family members.

“We’re proud to support Small Business Saturday at RAM,” said John Hirabayashi, CEO and president of Community First Credit Union. “Small businesses are the lifeblood of our local economy and benefit the most from your support.”

As always, a variety of dining options, live entertainment on the River Stage and street performers throughout the market complete the festive experience visitors find at North Florida’s largest open-air market. RAM is open every Saturday, from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. through December 20.

Visit the ‘Upcoming Events’ section of RAM’s website at RiversideArtsMarket.com or the Facebook events page at Facebook.com/RiversideArtsMarket/events for more information.
