About Michael Gray

A native of Liberia, Michael Gray adopted an intrinsic passion to help children of West Africa at an early age. An advocate, musician, and political staffer, he is a champion for the voiceless, negotiator for global politicians, and a networker who can engage college presidents to local community citizens alike.  As a youth, Gray learned to be a survivor. He remarkably lived through the tragic experiences of the Liberian Civil War, but he suffered as he was separated from his parents, and an eye-witness to rebel murders of innocent civilians. His determining will, and devotion to humanitarian rights, lessened his resentment for his homeland and strengthened his compassion to help the children of his country.  He decided to focus on advocacy efforts to provide opportunities for students and youth in West Africa. Through his grassroots efforts he has provided nearly $20,000 to assist disadvantaged students with scholarships and medical supplies in his homeland of Liberia.
