National Testing Network Launches New Testing Center for Public Safety Job Seekers

By: PRLog
DEARBORN, Mich. - Jan. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- National Testing Network (NTN), the leader in outsourced testing for public safety departments, announces a new testing location in Michigan, in partnership with the Alpha Technical Institute, located at 6050 Greenfield Road in Dearborn.

This new location will offer computer-based employment testing for entry-level firefighters, law enforcement officers, corrections officers, and emergency communications applicants applying for city, county, and state public safety agencies.

NTN’s online testing delivers tests with video simulations that depict scenarios candidates would actually encounter in the position they are applying for. After viewing scenarios, applicants are asked how they would respond in a particular situation. This video simulation testing has been proven to be more effective than traditional paper and pencil testing in helping public safety departments find applicants who are the best fit for the job.

With online testing, candidates see their score results immediately after completing the NTN test, and public safety departments receive instantaneous score results once exams are completed. NTN provides its client public safety agencies with the most current applicant pool information and essential test score data so departments can quickly make good hiring decisions.

NTN offers public safety departments the most affordable testing process with comprehensively validated tests that yield the highest results — providing the strongest candidates to fill essential public safety positions.

By expanding testing in Michigan, NTN is providing employment testing services that are more convenient for local job seekers and allowing Michigan public safety departments an opportunity to greatly reduce their applicant screening costs while increasing diversity in their public safety labor force.

"The continuous testing model provided by National Testing Network is becoming a key tool for departments looking to increase diversity and quality in their workforce,” said National Testing Network President, Carl Swander, Ph.D. “NTN has already witnessed positive outcomes in 27 other states where we’ve implemented our candidate-focused testing model. Departments and candidates are reporting higher levels of satisfaction after switching to NTN’s continuous testing model. We are excited to have the opportunity to begin providing this service in Michigan.”

When asked about the new partnership, testing director, Huss Alaouie, said, “Alpha Technical Institute is a training and testing center. We are proud to be with NTN to provide our services to their clients.”

NTN is the sister company of Ergometrics & Applied Personnel Research, Inc., a human resource management firm with 35 years of expertise in testing public service professions.
