New Testing Center Opening for Public Safety Job Seekers

By: PRLog
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Feb. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- National Testing Network (NTN), the leader in outsourced testing for public safety departments, announces a new testing location in Tennessee, in partnership with the University of Memphis, located at 3669 Alumni Avenue, 112 Brister Hall, in Memphis.

This new location will offer employment testing for individuals pursuing a career in public safety forces, including firefighters, law enforcement officers, corrections officers, and emergency communications applicants. NTN tests applicants for hundreds of public safety departments in city, county, and state agencies.

NTN offers public safety departments the most affordable testing process with comprehensively validated tests that yield the highest results — providing the strongest candidates to fill essential public safety positions. NTN’s tests use video simulations that depict scenarios candidates would actually encounter in the positions they are applying for. After viewing scenarios, applicants are asked how they would respond in a particular situation. This video simulation testing has been proven to be more effective in helping public safety departments find applicants who are the best fit for the job.

By expanding testing in Tennessee, NTN is providing employment testing services that are more convenient for local job seekers and allowing Tennessee public safety departments an opportunity to greatly reduce their applicant screening costs while increasing diversity in their public safety labor force.

“The continuous testing model provided by National Testing Network is becoming a key tool for departments looking to increase diversity and quality in their workforce,” said National Testing Network President, Carl Swander, Ph.D. “NTN has already witnessed positive outcomes in 27 other states where we’ve implemented our candidate-focused testing model. Departments and candidates are reporting higher levels of satisfaction after switching to NTN for their testing needs.”

When asked about the new partnership, testing center manager Trenda Smith said, “The University of Memphis testing center is excited about the recent partnership with the National Testing Network. I believe that this partnership will serve as a great contribution to the City of Memphis and to those seeking public safety opportunities in the Memphis Metro area. The testing center is a nationally certified center that offers a convenient exam schedule in a secure testing environment, and we are proud that we will be able to help prospective employees become one step closer to achieving their professional goals."

NTN is the sister company of Ergometrics & Applied Personnel Research, Inc., a human resource management firm with 35 years of expertise in testing public service professions.
