New Testing Center Opens in Texas for Public Safety Job Seekers

By: PRLog
HOUSTON - March 15, 2016 - PRLog -- National Testing Network (NTN), the leader in outsourced testing for public safety departments, announces a new testing location in Texas, in partnership with ACT DNA Drug and Alcohol Testing, located at 5330 Griggs Road, Suite G-103 in Houston, Texas.

This new testing location will offer online computer-based employment testing for entry-level firefighters, law enforcement officers, corrections officers and emergency communications applicants applying for city, county, and state public safety agencies.

NTN's state-of-the-art online testing delivers examinations with video simulations that depict scenarios candidates would actually encounter in the position they are applying for. After viewing scenarios, applicants are asked how they would respond in a particular situation. This video simulation testing has been proven to be more effective than traditional paper and pencil testing in helping public safety departments find applicants who are the best fit for the job.

With online testing, candidates see their score results immediately after completing the test, and public safety departments receive instantaneous score results once exams are completed. NTN provides public safety agencies with the most current applicant pool information and essential test score data so departments can quickly make good hiring decisions.

This testing site is the second NTN location established in Texas. "We are pleased to expand the continuous testing model provided by National Testing Network within Texas," said National Testing Network President, Carl Swander, Ph.D. "NTN has already witnessed positive outcomes in 27 other states where we've implemented our candidate-focused testing model. Public safety departments are reporting increased diversity, significant cost reductions, and higher levels of satisfaction after switching to NTN for their testing needs."

When asked about this new partnership, Executive Director, Kala Houston, said, "ACT DNA Drug and Alcohol Testing, an industry leader in drug and alcohol testing services, now offers fire-team, police, and corrections educational testing. Working alongside National Testing Network, ACT looks forward to servicing the needs of its public service agents by making the educational testing experience a fluid one, enabling these men and women to get back to what they do best, servicing their communities."

NTN is the sister company of Ergometrics & Applied Personnel Research, Inc., a human resource management firm with over 35 years of expertise in testing public service professions.
