By: PRLog
TriFoil Imaging will be installing a Triumph II PET/SPECT/CT at the University Hospital Aachen to be used for oncology and cardiology research. This will be the first of many collaborations between the University Hospital and TriFoil Imaging.
CHATSWORTH, Calif. - May 23, 2016 - PRLog -- TriFoil Imaging is eager to announce that the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital Aachen is to install a Triumph II LabPET12/mmp-SPECT4/CT. This multi-modality imaging system is the beginning of a fruitful partnership between TriFoil and the University Hospital. The system will be installed under the operation of Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Felix Mottaghy, Clinic Director.

"TriFoil is privileged to be chosen to provide the University of Aachen with our multi-modality small animal imaging system," said TriFoil Vice President of Sales and Marketing Sean Pitts. "We look forward to working collaboratively with the University of Aachen on numerous projects, as well as assisting them in integrating our technology as a key part of their imaging program."

Prof. Felix Mottaghy, Clinic Director, stated, "The Triumph system will be used for research in cardiology and oncology. We are planning to use this replacement system to do standard imaging as well as gated and dynamic studies. The main isotopes will be Tc-99m, I-123 and In-111 as well as Ga-68 and F-18. There will be single-isotope as well dual-isotope studies. In addition, we are interested in using I-125 (30keV) and I-131 (364keV) to monitor the course of a therapy."

TriFoil Imaging's state-of-the-art digital molecular imaging products include the new InSyTe Series which are the first pre-clinical bench-top PET and SPECT systems with in-line CT and FLECT, the world's first and only dual modality, True 3D Tomographic Optical and CT imaging system, and the Triumph II, a tri-modality PET/SPECT/CT system. There are now over 319 installations worldwide.

About the University Hospital RWTH Aachen

Healing, research, teaching. We offer the maximum care possible at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen - medicine with a human face. The architecturally and organizationally unique bundling of patient care, research and teaching under one roof allows us an intense interdisciplinary exchange and close clinical and scientific networking. The basic idea in the planning of the clinic was to unite research, apprenticeship and care under a roof. There is no location in which this has been moved so strictly. The short distances, the dialog between the professional guilds and the ability to change quickly distinguish us. http://www.ukaachen.de/en/about-us.html
