Accomplished New York lawyer joins panel to improve court practices and communications in the Eastern District
FOREST HILLS, N.Y. - Nov. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- The Eastern District of New York Bankruptcy Court has appointed Queens attorney Mark E. Cohen, Esq. to its Consumer Lawyer Advisory Committee. This panel was created to bring experienced bankruptcy practitioners together with Bankruptcy Court judges to increase efficiency and foster better bench-bar interaction.

As a lawyer who has provided more than two decades of diligent representation to clients in the five boroughs and Long Island, Mr. Cohen is a valuable asset to the committee. At his law firm, located in Forest Hills, he provides responsive counsel to clients struggling with debt. Along with other bankruptcy lawyers who practice in the district's Brooklyn and Central Islip courthouses, he is committed to enhancing the court's ability to operate effectively.

"This is quite an honor and I look forward to helping improve bankruptcy court practices and communications between judges and attorneys," Cohen said.

Committee members meet periodically at each court location and share their insights with judges, who serve as non-voting members. The real-world feedback of attorneys like Mr. Cohen and the open exchange of information between dedicated professionals should lead to better bankruptcy practice in the Eastern District.

Mark E. Cohen, Esq. has more than 25 years of experience handling bankruptcy matters for clients in New York City and Long Island. For more information, please visit the firm's website or call 718.487.9979.
