The See The Change USA Board of Directors is pleased to announce that David Csintyan, co-founder, President & CEO of See The Change USA, will replace Jim Johnson as Chairman of the organization's board of directors effective January 1, 2017. Johnson, CEO of GE Johnson Construction Company, will remain on the board as a Director. Heather Webb, who joined the organization in February 2016 as the Executive Vice President, will replace Csintyan as President & CEO.
"I am honored and excited by the opportunity to lead such an innovative and impactful organization," said Heather Webb. "Together with our partners, we will impact 500,000 students in 1,200 schools over the next five years. Those students are the fuel for our future economy and the leadership for our nation. I am humbled to be a part of this magnificent endeavor."
Webb, who joined See The Change as Executive Vice President in February 2016, has experience in the education and not for profit sectors. After serving as a crisis management liaison for Duke University and a research associate at Wake Forest University, she began her career in public education at Teach for America in 2004. Following her time in the corps, Webb was a program director with Teach for America-Atlanta where she supported more than 100 teachers as they implemented challenging curriculum to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
"It has been a singular privilege to work with a very special team of professionals to take an organization from conception to one serving 52 schools and impacting approximately 20,000 students in the classroom today. Replacing Jim Johnson as the Board Chair comes with a humility born out of an appreciation for his stellar leadership and friendship. Looking to the future, I have come to know and appreciate the skills of Heather Webb and have every confidence that under her leadership the organization will continue to thrive," said David Csintyan.
