Hunt for A Cure: MCLife Tucson Partners with the Tucson Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

By: PRLog
TUCSON, Ariz. - Oct. 18, 2017 - PRLog -- MCLife Tucson is excited to partner with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in launching the inaugural Cystic Fibrosis Scavenger Hunt.  This downtown Tucson event is happening October 22nd and is an all day event that is much more than just another fundraising event.

Scavenger Hunt For A Cure is organized by and benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The CF Foundation is an amazing organization that is the world's leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, and nearly every CF-specific drug available today was made possible with their financial support.

MeMe Aguila, Senior Development Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Tucson Office says, "The reason for doing a scavenger hunt is we were looking to do something different. We wanted to replace our Monster Mash event which was a walk/run and we thought if we could try a Scavenger Hunt utilizing the Streetcar and surrounding area downtown it would be unique and super fun, so we jumped in feet first and started planning."

The event will take place throughout the Main Gate area of University of Arizona campus and 4th Avenue Downtown with variations that are both family friendly and adult oriented.  Each member of teams of eight will be given a clue bag that includes hunt clues and a streetcar pass with the mission of solving all 60 clues in three hours.  The Scavenger Hunt starts and finishes at Geronimo Plaza and will feature music, beer garden and a kid's zone.

MCLife Tucson is a longtime supporter of the Tucson chapter of  the CF Foundation, partnering to help sponsors and supporting various CF events each year. "It is so exciting to be able to support an organization as outstanding as the CF Foundation is, especially when they strive to organize such fun and unique events like this. As long as the CF Foundation keeps fighting to find a cure, MC Companies will be right by their side," says Joshua Selph, Manager of Events and Partnerships with MC Companies.
