This year's schedule is jam-packed with critical insider information that Black aspiring lawyers would need to know before deciding to pursue this tough and highly competitive path. There will be two dynamic thought-provoking discussions geared to the special issues and concerns unique to prospective Black lawyers. They will include the Black law students panel which discusses how one can make the most of the law school experience, but goes beyond that in giving guidance on how to navigate the additional challenges that Black law students must overcome. In addition, there will be the Black lawyers panel which features a diverse panel of Black lawyers on various career paths who will discuss the different career options available and what it really takes to become successful after law school. They will also frankly address how Black lawyers must intelligently and effectively deal with the added difficulties that they must tackle due to their race.
Several dynamic, nationally-known and well-respected attorneys will serve as featured keynote speakers, and share powerful words of wisdom, encouragement and stories of their own personal journeys to success.
