Joyce Johnson is a world traveler and accomplished speaker.  As an empowerment specialist, Joyce has worked as a sales leader, business consultant and mentor for over 20 years.  Joyce began her sales & marketing career in professional sports, later entered the telecommunications industry, entrepreneurship, image consultation, community outreach and sales leadership roles.

Passionate about mentorship and development of college students, this book is a result of her commitment to coaching students on personal growth and career development.

At a young age growing up in Galveston, Texas, Joyce learned to serve others through volunteer efforts with the local churches, student government and editor of her high school newspaper at Galveston Ball High School.  Over the past years, Joyce has held several board positions; including Chairman of the Board for the Galveston County Gulf Coast Black Nurses Association, COO for the National Basketball Retired Players Association - Miami, Founding member of the East Palo Alto Children's Foundation, The Bahamas Sports Foundation, and most recently Vice President of Development – National Sales Network Houston.
