WASHINGTON - April 1, 2018 - PRLog -- Prospective and current law students, college and law school administrators, lawyers, and diversity professionals will all come together this week in Washington, DC for The Fifth Annual National Diversity Pre-Law Conference and Law Fair. This world-class pre-professional educational empowerment event will be held from Friday, April 6th, 2018 to Saturday, April 7th, 2018. It will be hosted at American University Washington College of Law which historically was the first law school in the U.S. to be founded by women, to have a female dean, and to graduate an all-female class. Today, it is well-known as one of the best public interest law schools and for having one of the most comprehensive clinical programs in the country.

This intensive, power-packed conference is designed to connect diverse aspiring lawyers from across the United States with game-changing and impactful information, networking opportunities, diversity leadership training, and law school and diversity resources all in one place. The goal of this event is to help better position law school aspirants to overcome the obstacles they will certainly encounter, as well as the additional challenges that will be presented because of their diverse status. Those coming together to speak to and assist the aspiring lawyers in attendance all have the common focus of helping them increase their chances for success in not only getting into law school, but also succeeding while there, and charting fulfilling career paths. Even more, attendees will be encouraged to embrace a sense of social responsibility and commit to utilizing their law degrees not just for themselves, but in order to serve the community and advocate for social justice in order to make society better for others.

Clarke School of Law, and The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.

According to conference founder Evangeline M. Mitchell, Esq., Ed.M., "The legal profession still stands out as one of the least diverse professions. This critically important outreach effort is one that is working hard to help change that by directly targeting members of diverse groups interested in law school from all over the nation. We are providing them with real role models and needed inspiration, and also empowering them with the critical, practical information, resources and connections they need to help them in the challenging, obstacle-laden path ahead of them to becoming lawyers."

This invaluable pre-law conference weekend experience is offered completely free of charge and is open to anyone interested in law school including high school students, college students, graduates, career changers and their supporters. Very limited seating is available and is first-come, first-serve so those interested in attending are encouraged to register online and arrive early. Walk-ins will be welcomed on a space available basis.
