Mayor Price endorses Manfredi, Wade in City Council election

By: PRLog
MARICOPA, Ariz. - June 11, 2018 - PRLog -- The City of Maricopa has a lot at stake in the 2018 city election – with three seats on the seven-person city council up for grabs. And for the first time, three-term mayor Christian Price is making his feelings publicly known, supporting incumbents Vincent Manfredi and Henry Wade.

"I have known Vincent Manfredi and Henry Wade for almost a decade and proudly served with both on city council since 2014. Councilmen Manfredi's and Wade's tireless work and dedication to the people of Maricopa is beyond measure," Price said.

"Potholes aren't Republican or Democrat," Price said about the non-partisan city council. "Councilmembers must be willing to work together to achieve the city's goals, and Vince's and Henry's focus is always on the betterment of our community and all its citizens."

Manfredi, 47, has lived in Maricopa since 2010 and was elected to Maricopa City Council in 2014. He is a local, small-business owner, volunteers with many local nonprofits and serves as a member of the Pinal County Regional Transportation Authority, Central Arizona Governments Regional Council and Arizona League of Cities and Towns Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Works Committee. Manfredi was chairman of the 2016 Maricopa Unified School District budget override committee and named the school districts "Best of the Best" volunteer of the year in 2017.

"Many know Mayor Price is one of the hardest-working and most dedicated mayors in Arizona," Manfredi said. "We make a good team, and I am proud to work alongside him as we strive to make Maricopa the best community in which to live, work and play."

Wade moved to Maricopa in 2008 and almost immediately started serving the community. He is the co-founder and past-president of the Arizona Association of Real Estate Brokers and former board member of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers. Wade was founding chair of National Political Action Committee and is a former vice-chair of the City of Maricopa Planning and Zoning Commission. Wade has more than 30 years of real estate experience in the Valley and is currently director of housing counseling services for Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc.

"Councilmembers Vincent Manfredi and Henry Wade are tremendous assets to our city council and community," Price said. "I'm going to proudly vote for them on August 28 and encourage the rest of Maricopa to do the same."
