MOTOWN LEGEND MICHAEL HENDERSON Brings 50 Year Anniversary Celebration Home To Detroit! Concert at Charles H. Wright Museum-African American History!

By: PRLog
The four time Grammy Nominee, after having celebated more than 50 years in the music business at SOLD OUT concerts around the globe 2018, finally brings the celebration home to Detroit Michigan, where as a youngster Michael Henderson was mentored by the greatest musicians the city offered, honing those skills with incessant touring, recording sessions, and performing!!
DETROIT - Aug. 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Michael Henderson who along with the rest of the world mourns the loss of sister/friend, Aretha Franklin pays tribute in his concert at esteemed Charles H. Wright Museum Of African American History.

Fame came early in life for the prodigious bass player in Detroit's music circles who as a teen (after having received permission from mom) was "on the road" playing with groups "The Detroit Emeralds, The Fantastic Four, Stevie Wonder, The Dramatics, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Four Tops, The Funk Brothers, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Marvin Gaye (Henderson can currently be heard on the Marvin Gaye release, "What's Going On: 40th Anniversary 2 CD/LP Super Deluxe Edition) famed "Funk Brothers" Jimmy Ruffin, David Ruffin, The Spinners, The Originals, and many others before finding his own voice, superstardom as a solo artist with the recording of the wildly successful song "Valentine Love" featuring Jean Carne!~  Shortly thereafter, Michael Henderson wrote, recorded the now classic duet, "We Both Need Each Other" featuring Phyllis Hyman! Henderson returned to the recording studio to produce yet another extraordinary composition, audience favorite, "You Are My Starship" on which he sings each and every part as well as play the intrinsic bass line!~  For many years it was thought friend Norman Connors was the vocalist, clearly a misconception..   With the release of the aforementioned titles, a multiplatinum selling solo career was born for the former Miles Davis Bassist (who together with bandmates CREATED the new music genre' JAZZ FUSION)...  Many top ten hit recordings would follow for the now bonified Producer, Composer, Vocalist, Bass Guitarist they are, "In The Night Time! At The Concert featuring Roberta Flack! Wait... Until The Rain! Take Me, I'm Yours featuring Detroit native Rena Scott! Wide Receiver! Happy! Geek You Up! More!

Mr. Henderson celebrates the lives, legacies of many friends through his long, storied career as well as the  release of "Take Me, I'm Yours: The Buddah Years Anthology!!"  SOLD OUT CONCERTS are a true testament to relevance, skill and musicianship!~
Joining also are, "The Stubbs Girls!~ Family Of Late Levi Stubbs,  Four Tops fame!
