On Wednesday, July 31, Mixtroz was presented with the Rising Star Award by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC) South at their recent Power Luncheon. Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC) South is a regional partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the largest certifier of women-owned businesses (WBEs) in the U.S. and a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs.
“The Rising Star Awards recognize those newer woman-owned companies that evidence a strong growth trajectory, but also have a proven track record of innovation, extraordinary service provision and sustainability in their respective fields. Mixtroz hits all of those marks and we look forward to witnessing their future growth and success,” Phala Mire, President and CEO, WBEC South.
Mixtroz is thrilled to have been awarded such an esteemed award. “Obtaining WBEC certification has been a game-changer for our business both in client acquisition and in enlarging our community. We have gained great cheerleaders, connectors and friends. It’s such an honor to be recognized by WBEC South,” says Kerry Schrader, Mixtroz Co-founder and CEO.
WBEC South provides a nationally recognized certification program, the WBENC Certification, for the states of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and the Florida Panhandle. Mixtroz was certified and became a member of this distinguishable organization at the beginning of 2019.
Currently headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., and founded in 2015 by mother-daughter duo Kerry Schrader and Ashlee Ammons, Mixtroz is a tech startup that creates community anywhere 50 or more people are gathered using the power of technology coupled with face-to-face engagement.
