Roku to acquire ad-tech company DataXu for half of its $300M reported valuation

The 10-year-old company had hired the investment bank GCA Advisors to explore a sale for around $300 million, the Wall Street Journal reported last October, citing unnamed sources. The $150 million purchase price is similar to DataXu’s valuation in 2012, according to PitchBook.
