Forbes has announced its annual ranking of America’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors from all 50 states. Eight UBS San Diego Market financial advisors and two private wealth advisors from the local area have made the listing for California. Financial advisors include: Frank Baldwin, Brian Donaldson and Christopher Radici of the La Jolla branch; Peter Andreasen, Courtney Liddy and Earl Thompson of the downtown San Diego branch; Kalyn Maher Walker of the Carmel Valley branch; and Daniel Shiu of the Honolulu branch, which now falls under the San Diego market. The private wealth advisors include Braydon Hamilton of the La Jolla branch and Blair Cannon of the Carmel Valley branch. In all, there were 666 UBS advisors included in the total Forbes list of about 2,200.

According to Forbes, top-performing advisors across the country are nominated by their firms—and then researched, interviewed and assigned a ranking within their respective states by professional researchers with SHOOK Research, Forbes’ research partner. Each state's list is based on an algorithm of qualitative and quantitative criteria, including: in-person or phone interviews; industry experience; community involvement; client retention data; and revenue trends.

To qualify for this list, advisors must have a minimum of seven years’ experience. The algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criterium. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings.
