Surge plan calls for state to lease Daly City hospital for 'thousands' of COVID patients

The state will pay up to $5 million a month to lease part of Seton Medical Center, which had been teetering on closure after owner Verity Health System of California filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
