In a contentious hearing before the Senate Judiciary's Subcommittee on Competition Policy, Antitrust, and Consumer Rights, representatives from Apple Inc. and Google parent Alphabet Inc. were tenderized for the wide-ranging powers of the App Store and Google Play Store digital-distribution platforms.
