Waymo drives away with $2.5B in massive funding round from Alphabet, Andreessen Horowitz, others

In the largest funding round of the year in Silicon Valley, Waymo's co-CEOs said there was "no greater challenge" than finding a way to build and deploy fully autonomous vehicles at scale.
