By: WebWire

FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and medical informatics solutions today announced their continued support of Continuing Medical Education (CME) through unrestricted educational grants for activities developed and sponsored by the Institute for Advanced Medical Education (IAME).  The activities will focus on the growing role of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) in cancer screenings, clinical developments in pediatric imaging, and the latest advancements in computed tomography (CT). These programs will provide CME, CE and CRA credits.

“We're thrilled to continue this effort which began over eight years ago and continues today to support  progressive educational programming designed for the medical imaging community,” said Rick Banner, Senior Director of Marketing, Modality Solutions, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. “Educational programs and innovative medical technology are equally important to the success of today's healthcare providers. The educational programs we're supporting through unrestricted educational grants allow practitioners to increase critical knowledge and discover practical ways to improve the patient care they deliver.”

IAME President Irwin Kuperberg stated “Fujifilm's ongoing support has not only allowed us to expand and diversify our CME offerings. It has also allowed us to utilize the resources of Applied Radiology to offer live-streamed and archived web activities, educational methodologies that suit the learning style of today's medical imaging professional.”

In 2020, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. supported a variety of continuing medical education events, all of which remain available online with educational credits.  With eight programs developed through this support, IAME is happy to report that participating professionals have earned more than 6,150 credits. This high level of participation underscores the timeliness and relevance of these educational programs.
