West Bottoms Applauds America's Pandemic Recovery Progress And More with Displays of Red, White, and Blue

By: PRLog

Kansas City's Bravo in the Bottoms First Friday's Weekend July 2-4

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - June 29, 2021 - PRLog -- Many of the West Bottoms small retail businesses that rely on the weekend crowds struggled during the height of the pandemic. Yet, West Bottoms' fans from all over the region made a concerted effort to keep the doors open, in a sense, by viewing products via Facebook posts, making online purchases, and curbside pick-ups. As America emerges from the pandemic, the West Bottoms will visually honor and applaud all the heroes and patrons getting us to where we are with patriotic displays of red, white, and blue throughout the district and special savings this First Friday Weekend, July 2-4 with Bravo in the Bottoms. First Friday coincides with America's 244th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Visitors can shop many of the thirty-plus stores throughout the thirteen blocks that make up the West Bottoms. Patriotic music will play on the quaint streets outside these multi-story historic brick buildings, where various food trucks and photo ops on each side of the 12th Street Bridge are staged by outdoor seating, and street games. Plus, the finds inside include vintage and antiques and all the flair, fun, and specialty items from furniture, décor, and jewelry to outfits, eateries, and escape games that make the Bottoms the top of entertainment shopping and weekend fun.

"We say 'bravo' as we applaud heroes and patrons. Our patriotic-themed colors serve as a reminder of all those American heroes throughout our country's 244-plus years," said Amber Arnett-Bequeaith, West Bottoms spokesperson for the district. "And the color theme recognizes the heroes of our pandemic and we'd add those West Bottoms patrons that stuck with us through thick and thin. This occasion we're offering a specials savings to boot."

First Fridays' Festival of the Full Moon is a daytime event that gleans inspiration from the month's moon. July's Rose Moon happens to reflect the national flower and perfect timing for Independence Day.
