Successful entrepreneur Fabien Ghys breaking records during economic crisis

Who is Fabien Ghys?

Fabien Ghys is a French expat who has been living in Singapore for 5 years. Shortly after arriving in Singapore, he started an online business and now manages several in different niches. He is passionate about online businesses and believes that it is the way of the future.

Fabien likes to explore new things and is ready to meet these challenging times head on. He is deeply passionate about helping others get what they want and has built a reputation for helping others achieve their goals. He enjoys getting to know people and building a strong network with both personal and professional connections.

How has the COVID-19 crisis affected you?

I am pleased to say that the current crisis has had a positive effect on my businesses due to its online nature. Because of the easy accessibility of my businesses, it is amazingly easy for people to find us and avail of our products and services. For example, one of my businesses helps job seekers boost their personal branding through services that transform their resumes and LinkedIn profiles. There has been a noticeable increase in the demand for these services and I have actually had to build a sales team to keep up with it. My other health-related, network marketing business has seen similar growth. My team members have tripled in number in the last 3 months and continues to grow across 12 countries.

So, these are quite unusual and positive developments, having to hire additional people during the current crisis. Overall, I can say that the crisis has had a good impact on my businesses as we are still experiencing exponential growth. This is an incredibly good indicator that online businesses have one of the best and most resilient structure we can have during these times.

Why do you think this happened?

I believe that my businesses have continued to grow despite a difficult economic environment because people have increasingly turned online to meet their needs. Given efforts to contain the virus, stay home orders, and social distancing measures, there has been a dramatic reduction in traditional businesses. In contrast, our visibility and easy accessibility online means that we are what people are looking for. Our ability to quickly scale also means that we are capable of responding to their needs.

As I have previously mentioned, my team has also grown to accommodate this increase in business. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who have lost their jobs and are looking for other opportunities. This is why I was able to quickly add 5 new Sales professionals to my team as there are more professionals now looking to generate more income, be it as a side income or a home-based job.

Is it the same across your team?

Yes, my team has found similar success because they have duplicated what works. Especially for my newer business, the growth has been big because people are now open to new opportunities. This is quite positive as a lot of businesses are struggling right now. And I am happy that the people working with me are also experiencing the benefits of this increased business

What makes you and your team successful and adapt so fast to the current Covid-19 situation?

Our success during this complex time is based on several things – the online nature of the business and its inherent scalability. If a business operates online 100%, it does not have the operational costs such as rent and other overheads that can weigh it down. Thus, it has been quite easy to grow and expand the business which is why this complicated time has been a boon for us.

Advise for people affected by Covid-19.

My advice is to rethink about the way you structure your business. Seriously think about transitioning your business online. This will help you get rid of what is unproductive and expensive. It is also important to get training on digital marketing. I know people who own restaurants, gyms and other traditional businesses who are making the switch and their new knowledge in digital marketing is helping them get through this difficult period. There are a lot of courses available that can help, even for beginners. I believe that whatever your current business is, you can do it online. Reach out to well-known people in your industry who are succeeding. Act now before it is too late and follow proven methods to get the results that you want.
