Blue Family Fund Organized 1st Annual Hacker’s Ball Golf Tournament, Raised $16k For First Responder Families

Blue Family Fund Organized 1st Annual Hacker’s Ball Golf Tournament, Raised $16k For First Responder Families

September 21, 2021 - Spirits were high at The Texas Star Golf Course in Euless, Texas, where golfers appreciated an amazing course, while at the same time wholeheartedly giving donations to support the families of first responders, including education and financial assistance to dependents. The event was organized by DFW-based non-profit, Blue Family Fund, on Wednesday, September 15.

Blue Family Fund is excited to announce that the fundraiser raised $16,000, every dollar of which will go towards supporting the families of first responders.

Around 80 golf lovers enjoyed a day of golf, games, food, and even a giant beer wall raffle. The appearance of Golf Professional Mike Dobbyn, long drive champion made the day even more exciting. There was also a putting contest and a silent auction after lunch.

“A big thank you goes out to all our sponsors and supporters,” says Stacey Magovern, Co-Founder of Blue Family Fund. “It was a very fun day, and we enjoyed sharing it with the community, all while supporting a great cause and bringing awareness to the needs of the families left behind after losing a Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter or other First Responders.”

The first responders of the country put their life at risk to save others, and deserve all possible support and assistance. This is the mission of the Blue Family Fund, a 501c3 nonprofit. The funds raised go towards higher education scholarships for dependents of law enforcement officers and offering financial assistance to families of fallen law enforcement officers.

We would like to acknowledge all the amazing sponsors that made this day possible. Point Blank Safety Services sponsored the hole-in-one contest. Angela Lamb Insurance Agency and Texas Team Clean sponsored the beverage carts. Worley and Associates, Jeff Kelly Monument Realty, Connect Pediatrics, and Texas Team Clean all sponsored holes. The putting contest was sponsored by Love Media Group and David Nicklas Organ Donor Foundation provided goody bag items.
