How Texas Advancement School is Helping to Drive Down the Unemployment Rate

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / December 2, 2021 / Education will never be the same after the world was forced to go virtual in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. These unprecedented circumstances opened up a world of possibilities for reshaping and streamlining traditional modes of education. One educational institution, Texas Advancement Center, is fully embracing these changes in order to expand its reach and make a bigger impact on the community. In doing so, TAC hopes to drive down the post-pandemic unemployment rate.

Driving Down the Unemployment Rate, One Student at a Time

Texas Advancement Center is a career school that offers a wide variety of essential courses in a fraction of the time they would take at a typical university. With multiple locations and over 150 medical billers, truck drivers, electricians, and barbers graduating this year, TAC is a fast-growing institute that is accelerating local growth in a range of industries.

One of the TAC team's biggest points of pride is that most of their students never had to pay anything out-of-pocket or take out a loan to attend the school. TAC's owner and CEO Marion Skinner partnered with the Texas Workforce Commission to Train and Employ, creating a scholarship that allowed 80% of the school's students to attend tuition-free. A fresh start in a new industry completely free of charge can be a life-changing opportunity for many, especially those that face greater financial struggles.

Career Advancement and Education for All

Texas Advancement Center has programs geared towards high school students, post-secondary graduates, as well as unemployed and underemployed adults in the workforce. They train and certify students in many industries and professions, including coding, barbering, computer IT, HVAC, electricians, paralegals, medical billing, medical front office, dental assistants, and many more. The school also offers a variety of Commercial and Teen Driving programs, and has partnered with Baylor Scott and White to offer in-demand medical programs at our facility.

The Texas Advancement Center Experience

TAC was designed to benefit students from the first moment they arrive until long after they graduate. With a range of services and a supportive environment to help students achieve their goals, Texas Advancement Center provides much-needed guidance and direction regarding job searching strategies, resume writing techniques, and best practices for interviews. Though employment opportunities through TAC are not always guaranteed, the school stands committed to maintaining students' motivation, focus, and preparation for a successful career.

The Future of Texas Advancement Center

The TAC team hopes to grow the business even further. Their current goal is to open 10 more locations, bringing their unique mode of education to 4 new states, over the next few years. Soon, Texas Advancement Center will be helping to drive down more than just the state unemployment rate; it can begin to make a real impact on the national unemployment problem.

Solving the World's Problems by Expanding Access to Education

CEO Marion Skinner believes that a strong education is the key to solving many of society's troubles. In the chaotic post-pandemic world, a strong education has become more necessary than ever for navigating changing industries and uncertain circumstances. According to him, "Education allows the everyday man and woman to aspire for greatness." The steps that Skinner has taken towards revolutionizing the education industry for the 21st century have earned him the nickname "The King of Education."
