Long-awaited follow-up to Planetarium's Arena Season 0 will run from Dec. 7th to Dec. 21st

Following on the runaway success of Arena Season 0 of Nine Chronicles' decentralized massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) launched in September, Korean blockchain company Planetarium is getting ready to launch Arena Season 1: Alfheim.
The two-week long season kicks off on Dec. 7 (from block 2,912,000) and will last until approximately Dec. 21 (ending at block 3,084,000). Once again, players will face off against competitors across the Nine Chronicles' metaverse, demonstrating their courage and tenacity and competing for a prize pool of 448,000 NCG.
Season 1 will feature several improvements over Season 0 based on community feedback. For starters, arena battle ticket refresh time will increase from 6 hours to 8 hours, meaning 5 tickets will be refreshed every 8 hours (2,800 blocks). This change will give players some added flexibility, and allow more time to rest or eat while battling their way through Season 1. Players in Season 1 will be able to take part in up to 15 battles per day.
To join the adventure, first clear level 17 to unlock arena mode, and compete in arena battles to build up your character rating (check the Nine Chronicles portal to see full player standings.) As in Season 0, players will battle it out in the arena for medals, and their share of the NCG prize pool will be determined by how many medals they manage to obtain. Each battle that takes place will have a 30% chance of giving the player an exclusive Season 1 medal, not available anywhere else.
Nine Chronicles is the next evolution of the "play-to-earn" model pioneered by Axie Infinity, allowing players to earn cryptocurrency and NFTs for their efforts, and providing them with the opportunity to monetize their gaming skills. While players power the open source infrastructure for the game, the NCG tokens prize pool incentivizes them to also sharpen their skills and explore every corner of the Nine Chronicles universe.
Planetarium so far has raised $5 million from top VC funds to build out its development team and add rich new content and features. The Nine Chronicles world is continuously evolving as it unfolds, and Planetarium takes feedback directly from the game's robust and enthusiastic community to devise new features and challenges.
