 The crest and the colors remained visible as he remained pictured in an all-black ensemble that highlighted the flag. He expresses, over a cup of hot café Bustelo, that he is proud to commemorate this holiday dedicated to the culture that made him the man he is today.

 International Nova tunes into his childhood and recalls the afro the Caribbean and Latin sounds he heard growing up when applying it to his music. He has cultivated the style of music into a platform he could only dream of. Along with the music, he also inherited the Dominican ability to overcome any challenge in his way.

 On February 27, 1844, the Dominican Republic won its independence for a second time from the country of Haiti. They were determined to be a fully free people from Spain, Haiti, and any other country that attempted to stake a claim on their territory. The DR spent the following years manifesting a culture that would penetrate generations to come.

As a connection to his culture, Nova is planning to help children in the Dominican Republic with scholarships that help them with their education. He wants to help single mothers and low-income children that have the talent to break free of their economical restraints.
