Tickets are on sale now for the Deborah J. Simon Spotlight 2023, presented by the Indiana AIDS Fund, Inc (IAFI), in conjunction with Clowes Memorial Hall of Butler University. This singular, celebrated night of song, dance, art and drama benefit will take place on Monday, April 17th, 2023, at the Butler Arts Center’s beautiful Clowes Memorial Hall. Showtime starts at 7 p.m. with a VIP reception at 6 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Indiana AIDS Fund, Inc., to fund HIV prevention across Indiana.

For over 25 years, Spotlight has brought the Indianapolis performing arts community together for the largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser of its kind in the Midwest. The event continues its tradition of featured performances by immensely talented musicians, poets, dancers and visual artists from multiple genres—some local legends; others, globally recognized.

"Last year was our first year back in a live setting," says Jason Grisell. "We're excited to bring everyone together, once again, to laugh, be moved, and know at the end of the day, we're making a real difference in the community."

Spotlight is the Indiana AIDS Fund’s primary fundraising tool that builds, supports and enhances HIV treatment, prevention and testing programs in Indiana. It is through this annual event, along with help from a growing list of dedicated sponsors, that IAFI aims to help Hoosiers at risk for contracting the disease and increase the amount of funds granted to agencies across the state for HIV prevention.

Current performers include the Academy of Dance Arts, Angel Burlesque, Ballet Theatre of Carmel, BOLT (Be Out Loud Theatre), Dance Kaleidoscope, Indiana Ballet Conservatory, Michael Swimford from BOLT (Be Out Loud Theatre), Ramón Flowers and Rock E Bassoon. Additional performers to be announced.

Visit the redesigned Spotlight 2023 site for more information, including ticket purchases and sponsorship opportunities and direct donation opportunities.
