By: PRLog

MANHATTAN, N.Y. - March 31, 2023 - PRLog -- American University of Antigua (AUA) is pleased to announce its participation in this year's Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) Annual Conference. This is AUA's second nomination to participate in this event. As part of the CUGH 2023, AUA will host a Virtual Satellite Session on April 5, 2023.

AUA is proud to be represented by Dr. Leslie Walwyn, Associate Dean for Global Health, who will explore the topic of Mental Health: A Solution for Reducing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in the Caribbean. Ms. Danielle Walwyn, Youth Advocacy Officer and Physical Activity Activist from the Healthy Caribbean Coalition will co-host the Virtual Session.

AUA faculty participating in the session include content experts from across the Caribbean: Dr. Kimbella Scott, Childhood Trauma Resiliency Specialist (Jamaica), Dr. JoAnne Brathwaite, Community Psychiatrist (Barbados), and Dr. Stanley Lalta, Health Economist (UWI, Trinidad).

To ensure that the data presented at the Virtual Satellite Session is both up-to-date and relevant to the Caribbean region, AUA is conducting a U Report poll across social media platforms on March 20 - 31, 2023. As a token of appreciation, participants have the opportunity to win an Amazon gift card.
