ABA Connect Expands Its Reach With the Acquisition of ABA Therapy of Houston

ABA Connect (ABAC) is excited to announce the successful acquisition of ABA Therapy of Houston (ATH). ABAC delivers top tier applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This acquisition enhances the provider's reach, adding a second clinic location in Katy, Texas, and expanding its network to 12 clinics across Texas and Colorado.

“As we explored expansion of our Katy clinic to meet the demand of quality ABA therapy services in the area, ATH was a natural addition to our team,” says Jessie Smedley, CEO of ABA Connect. “In our early intervention service line, we are committed to providing therapy in naturalistic, playful environments to the children we serve. Partnering with ATH aligns well with our mission, vision, and values, maximizing the benefits for the children and families we serve in the Houston market.”

Camille Adams, the owner of ATH, will step into the role of Director of Payor Contracting and Credentialing as these organizations join forces. “I am excited about creating new opportunities for employee career growth and utilizing robust back-office resources, while upholding our values of compassionate, high-quality care,” says Adams. “This acquisition allows us to meet the needs of more families moving forward while elevating our standards of care.”

The increase in ASD diagnoses (1 in 36 children) drives greater awareness and demand for clinical interventions. As of August 2019, all 50 states mandate insurance coverage for ABA therapy. The addition of ATH is another part of ABA Connect’s strategic efforts, backed by the support of MBF Healthcare Partners II. L.P. to expand autism services to families in need of evidence-based therapy.
