Dance Music Sensation Kris Drummond-Hay Talks About Her New tracks

By: Get News

When you talk about dance music there are some very big names out there. They include Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim, and David Guetta. One name that is also big on the dance music scene and who has just released new dance tracks is Kris Drummond-Hay.

When you hear the amazing dance tracks by Kris Drummond-Hay you would have thought that she was born into the world of dance music, but surprisingly enough, Kris started off in Classical music. Thankfully she changed from classical music to dance music to bring millions of people around the world uplifting dance tracks.

I sat down with Kris at her multi-million dollar beachside mansion which she purchased after becoming a successful dropshipping entrepreneur during covid, who said during the interview that her music is all about inspiring strength and helping people bounce back from tough times - especially emotional abuse.

While not busy with her music career, Kris also busy with philanthropic & charity fund-raising for men's mental health and for dog rescue organisations.

This is what she had to say...

At what age were you when you became interested in music?

Oh, super young—like four or five. I’ve always loved singing. I started out with classical training when I was in high school, but singing has just been this constant thing in my life for as long as I can remember but it was always just a hobby & nothing more.

You’re a successful dance and electronic musician; what got you into this type of music?

Honestly, I’ve always loved the energy of dance music and how it can lift you up. After going through terrible narcissistic abuse and slander, I realised this style of music was the perfect way to share my story and help others feel empowered & uplifted too.

Dance music was big in the 90s, then went out of fashion before making a comeback. Why do you think it’s bigger than ever now?

I think it’s because dance music brings people together. It’s all about connection, freedom, and good vibes—something everyone craves, especially after the craziness of the past few years.

Can you remember the first dance track you bought?

Oh yeah, it was Another Night by Real McCoy. Haha! That track is an absolute classic & so cute, I just love it. Everytime I hear it I just have to start dancing like a crazy person.

How do you come up with your dance tracks?

A lot of my ideas come from personal experiences or emotions. I usually start with a vibe or message I want to share, and then I build the music around it. It’s all about finding that balance between meaningful lyrics and beats that make you want to move. I work with a producer based in Indonesia & another with my label Midas Touch EU. We discuss the song, edit the lyrics & create the music together.

Can you tell me more about your track Unbreakable?

Unbreakable is really personal for me—it’s about finding your strength after being broken down again and again. It’s like an anthem for anyone who’s been through hard times and come out stronger on the other side. It's been hugely popular in many countries but mostly in Germany.

You’ve released a lot of new tracks. What other new tracks have you released?

Aside from Unbreakable, there’s my first release, Karma, which has been amazing to see take off. I've just released Stone & have a cover of Read All About It by Emeli Sandé coming out soon too. I’ve got other tracks in the works too, so there’s plenty more coming this year!

I want to talk about Karma. How amazing is it that it’s been aired in 21 countries?

It’s wild, honestly! I never expected it to reach so many people, especially with it being my first track. Knowing that it resonates with listeners worldwide is just incredible.

When you write your tracks, what do you hope people get out of them, and what messages do you like to send?

I want people to feel empowered, like they’re not alone and they can get through anything. My tracks are all about resilience, hope, and turning pain into something positive.

What can we expect from you this year in the way of new tracks?

Lots of new music! I’m working on some tracks with big, emotional vibes and a few surprises too. It’s going to be a fun year!
