Nerdy, parent company of Varsity Tutors, close to finalizing deal to go public

TPG Pace Tech Opportunities, the special purpose acquisition company with which the St. Louis company will combine, has scheduled a shareholder meeting for Sept. 14 for approval of the deal. The edtech firm is expected to begin trading on the public markets shortly after that meeting.
