Wild Roses
PORT ANGELES, Wash. - October 28, 2022 - (Newswire.com)
This new collection of poems and prose released by Cadmus Publishing is a gift from its author to the creators of humankind: women. In Wild Roses, Stanley Corbett Jr. "Knowledge G" honors the strength of the original women, recognizing that they are the powerful foundation upon which society is built. Within these pages, the reader will be taken on a journey of love for the spirit of the divine Feminine.
Wild Roses is an homage to the author's love and respect for womankind. This book was written for your mother, your grandmother, your wife, or for anyone that admires the spirit of women and their odyssey through time.
About the Author: Stanley Earl Corbett Jr. was born and raised in Lexington, NC. Incarcerated since age 19, he has discovered writing and poetry as an outlet during this confinement. He has authored another publication "The Heart & Soul of a Poet" and is a proud member of the National Writers Association.
Currently, Corbett is housed at Central Prison in Raleigh, NC and is a passionate proponent of human rights. He is proud to be a part of the group "Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee" (IWOC)- which advocates for the civil rights of prisoners throughout the United States. In concurrence with IWOC, he also participates in the groups "Prison Lives Matter" and "NC-CURE." Corbett's goal is to remind society that inmates are human beings and their accomplishments deserve to be shared with the world: "There's plenty of stories in the media concerning prisoners swindling the IRS to receive additional stimulus checks. Where's the positive stories?" He utilized his own stimulus check to aid in publishing his poetry; that is the kind of story he wishes to share! You can purchase copies of "Wild Roses" on amazon.com or wordoutbooks.com. You can also access "The Heart and Soul of a Poet" by searching Stanley Corbett on prisonsfoundation.org.
